A nose bleed cemented my involvement

Discover how a simple act of stepping in led to a significant role in the establishment of St Richard Reynolds Catholic school in Twickenham. Join me as we explore the journey of community involvement and legacy.

The campaign begins

Back in 2010, as the campaign for a new Catholic secondary school gained momentum, Anthony Kennedy collected the 1,000 signatures needed for a chamber debate. When Anthony had a nose bleed, I stepped in and delivered the three minute proposal to a packed York House.

Foundation governor

The conservative administration delivered the school, leading to my support for the party and eventual election as a local councillor in East Sheen. From 2012 to 2021, the diocese of Westminster appointed me as a foundation governor.

Just do it

During my time as a foundation governor, I ran a golf society as a fundraiser and served as the Health & Safety governor during the major expansion between 2015 -2019. Like the Nike sports logo, I felt compelled to "Just Do It" as a legacy for our local community.
