Taming the weeds
My allotment journey began in March 2016 when I took over an overgrown plot at Old Palace Allotments. It was a worthwhile challenge and now it's finally tamed of weeds.

A plot with a view
Plot 6 holds a special spot, close to the main entrance of Old Palace Lane Allotments. This means I get to chat with plenty of fellow allotment enthusiasts passing by. Plus, it's in full view of the trains chugging between Richmond and St Margaret's, adding a touch of railway charm to my gardening.

Seaweed surprise
In March 2023, I decided to cover my allotment in seaweed, harvested all the way from Deal in Kent. The seaweed makes a big visual impact, contrasting beautifully with my dark soil and providing rich nutrients. The same year I also added horse manure which was a mistake as it produced extra weeds.

Ongoing adventures
The allotment is an ever-evolving project. There's always something new to learn, grow, or discover. Stay tuned for more updates and stories from Plot 6 on Old Palace Lane!
